My Thoughts Of Malcolm X
Ok … So I have been on youtube messing around and I ran into videos about the very intelligent and articulate Malcolm X a person who was considered to be “radical” or “racist” by some but as I watched videos such as these i noticed the he was neither… He was just proud.
People in America has a notorious history of fear. The fear of strength, integrity, pride, and harmony which created such a negative outlook towards the Nation of Islam and the words of Malcolm X. The fact is that we fear progression in ourselves when revolutionaries appear such as Mr. X . I being a 17 year old rapper from St.louis, MO shows that someone of his caliber could cause one of my class to take the time to try to properly share my views on the situations at hand.
I understand that for sometime now people have been led to believe that Mr. X taught hatred but in-fact he was saying for one to love themselves. Not only as a race but as a individual, and I feel that someone should alter the image that the media has put on Mr. X. Yes he was confident yes he was strong and yes he was black but not racist.
